For Posterity Poster
There are a number of digital versions of the classic slab serif typewriter font, most notably Courier, designed by Howard Kettler in 1955, and later redrawn by Adrian Frutiger for use on IBM’s Selectric Composer series. (Wikipedia) This is my homage to the beauty and simplicity and ultimate legibility of that font, typed on my father’s old Olivetti Lettera 32 portable typewriter designed in 1963. It was enlarged on a photocopier directly from the typewritten page. Every little bit of splattered ink from the ribbon, which we would normally not see, appears and is preserved in this enormous enlargement.
